Prior to making landfall in Louisiana on Sunday afternoon, Tropical Storm Cristobal spawned at least one confirmed tornado that struck areas southeast of downtown Orlando, Fla., on Saturday.
According to media outlets, the twister was responsible for residential damage in the following neighborhoods:
- Conway (Orange County,32806, 32812)
- Wadeview Park (Orange County, 32806)
The Orange County Property Appraiser’s Office has since reported that it has assessed 40 sites near the intersection of Lake Margaret Drive and South Ferncreek Avenue (Orlando, 32806). The assessment included more than $870,000 in property damages.
Officials stated that an estimated $313,000 in damages was sustained by the Lake Margaret Village Apartments (3037 South Ferncreek Avenue, Orlando, 32806).
In addition, heavy storm surge and torrential rain have contributed to instances of street flooding across the region as well as reports of possible home flooding in the following locations:

- Mandeville (St. Tammany Parish, 70433, 70448, 70471)
*Concentrated flooding in Old Mandeville area - New Orleans (Orleans Parish, 70124)
*Residential flooding reported in West End - Slidell (St. Tammany Parish, 70458, 70459, 70460)
*Residential flooding reported in Palm Lake; substantial flooding in Eden Isles
Currently tracking across the upper Midwest, the system has continued to spread fast-moving storms in portions of Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan.
