An onslaught of destructive thunderstorms struck the southern U.S. on Thursday, slamming the region with flooding rain, baseball size-hail, straight-line winds and long-path tornadoes that destroyed and damaged residential homes.
According to media outlets, it appears that the highest concentration of activity has occurred in Alabama, with reports of structural damage stemming from multiple reported tornadoes and high winds (exceeding 80 mph) coming in from several counties.
